Once a year we set aside a full day for women in difficult circumstances — a day of encouragement, dignity, and hope, where every guest is reminded how deeply she matters.
For one day every year, women who carry heavy loads get to lay them down — to be served, celebrated, and reminded that they are seen and loved.
Our annual Women's Day is a highlight on the Five Plus Two calendar. Held each September, it brings together women in difficult circumstances for a full day of hope — a pause from hardship, and a reminder that they are not forgotten.
The day is filled with inspirational speakers who share stories of restoration and faith, a warm meal shared together, and time simply to rest, laugh, and be encouraged. Every woman who attends leaves with a bag of essential toiletries — small comforts that carry real dignity.
Many of the women we welcome are mothers holding families together against the odds, women rebuilding their lives through Zoé House, and women who rarely hear that they are valued. For this one day, the focus is entirely on them.
It is a celebration of strength, dignity, and the God-given worth of every woman who walks through the door.

A warm welcome
From the moment she arrives, each guest is met with warmth and care. For one day, she is not a statistic or a circumstance — she is an honoured guest, worthy of celebration.
What the day holds
Women from across the community are invited and welcomed together — many travelling from difficult home situations to a place of warmth, safety, and belonging for the day.
Inspirational speakers share messages of hope, faith, and restoration, alongside a meal shared together. It is a time to be poured into rather than to pour out.
Every woman leaves with a bag of essential toiletries and, we pray, a renewed sense of her own worth — carrying the encouragement of the day back into her week.
Why it matters
So many of the women we serve spend every day giving to others, with little left for themselves. Women's Day is our way of turning that around — of telling them, for one full day, that they are seen, they are strong, and they are deeply loved.

Cover the cost of a toiletry bag so another woman can leave the day with essentials in hand and dignity restored. Every bag sponsored means one more guest welcomed.
Soap, lotion, sanitary products, and other essentials all go into our Women's Day bags. Gather a collection through your church, workplace, or circle of friends.
